My first book was written for the inaugural Mslexia novel writing competition, where it was a runner up. Called the Secrets of Life and Death it told the story of recluse Jackdaw Hammond, who survives using sixteenth century sorcery devised by John Dee for Countess Elizabeth Bathory in eastern Europe.
Since then I have written 2 sequels, The Secrets of Blood and Bone and The Secrets of Time and Fate. The books follows Jackdaw under the shadow of the consequences of diverting fate and a rogue entity who calls himself an angel...
I then developed a prequel from the first series into a crime novel called A Baby’s Bones. Sage Westfield, an archaeologist, makes the disturbing discovery of the bones of a baby down a Tudor well. In 1580, young Viola Banstock struggles with her engagement to a man she hardly knows, who loves secretive Isabeau. Solving the ancient mystery brings Sage into contact with a modern murder that echoes the past...
A Shroud of Leaves tells Sage's story as she tries to discover what happened to two missing girls, decades apart, in a still dangerous Bronze Age landscape. In 1913, two young students excavate an ancient barrow, under the gathering storm of war and forbidden love.
NEWS: I am presently writing three new books for Bookouture, titles and news coming shortly!
